About Igor Brai

Lead software engineer behind IVB Soft — high-load systems, fintech, and MVPs.

Hi, I’m Igor Brai

I’m a lead software engineer with 8+ years building, operating, and optimising high-load production systems — and the founder of IVB Soft, based in Rethymno, Crete. When you work with IVB Soft, you work directly with me: no account managers, no hand-off chains, just an experienced engineer who owns your project from architecture to production.

What I do

I lead engineering on an independent web search engine that queries an index of billions of web pages and returns results in under one second, across hundreds of Linux servers. Day to day, that means latency optimisation, throughput, load balancing, distributed infrastructure, and hard production debugging at real scale.

Alongside that, I spent two years as a contract fintech platform engineer for a Swiss company — modernising a financial model risk-management platform, resolving application security issues, and shipping new features for risk workflows.

How I can help you

  • Backend & distributed systems — clean architecture, robust APIs, services built to scale.
  • AI & machine learning — search relevance, ranking, NLP, and automation.
  • DevOps & cloud — AWS, Linux, CI/CD, and monitoring for reliable deployments.
  • MVP development — investor-ready products, shipped fast and built to grow.
  • Fintech & data-heavy products — informed by an MSc in quantitative finance.
  • Tech strategy & consulting — architecture reviews, security, and mentoring.
